UNCA is playing no exhibitions this year...
...and reading the following quote makes me wonder how we get away with FIVE non-I's on our schedule...assuming PC is NOT considered D-I (including exhibitions):
However, both UNCA squads elected to forego their exhibition contests after becoming aware that doing so might violate NCAA rules since they can only play a certain combined number of non-Division I opponents — including exhibition foes.

“Due to a recent interpretation from the NCAA, many schools were under the impression that you could play four non-Division I games, excluding exhibition games,” said Janet Cone, UNCA athletics director. “The NCAA recently informed the Big South Conference that the league basketball programs could only play four non-Division I games counting both exhibition and regular-season games.”

How sad is it that the NCAA has to crack down on our conference about the number of non DI teams we can play. I feel sorry for this years champ.

You're absolutely right, LUConn...

...let's see how many each school has (counting exhibitions):

LU........5 (or 4 if PC is counted as D-I)
UNCA...4 (plus the two cancelled exhibitions)
WU.......3 (or 2 if PC is counted as D-I)
CCU.....4 (or 3 f PC is counted as D-I)
CSU.....4
RU.......3 (or 1 if PC is counted as D-I...RU is playing them home and home)
VMI......5 (already played an exhibition vs W&L)
HPU.....4 (plus another potential in NJ Tech...not a full D-I member yet)
PC......3

NJ Tech is done with their exploratory year, they now count as DI. They're in the same status that Longwood has been until this season...probationary DI.
