just lost to Division III VA Wesleyan in a scrimmage. They played 3 periods, first two periods like a normal game, each team played their starters and regulars and VWC beat them in both those periods. Third period was running clock and the scrubs for each team.

That would be like VMI losing to Washington and Lee. We complain about the Big South, but at the same time we should be glad we're not in the MEAC or one of the couple leagues that are worse.

That is not too large an upset in an exhibition game. VWC is a power in D3...won the national title two years ago. Is it bad? Yes it is...but one of those things that can happen.

Not quite, W&L sucks at basketball. It would be more like VMI losing to an EXTREMELY good D3 team like Amherst, VA Wesleyan, Washington, etc. (and Va Wesleyan is EXTREMELY good)...

And last year D3 Guilford College beat Elon in an exhibition, Guilford went on to go to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament before losing to national runner-up VA Wesleyan. Guilford features a 6'10" player who was the national player of the year and could easily be playing at the D1 level.

That would be like LU losing to Barton or something in a scrimmage game.......oh
