Well VT was winning in the 4th quarter 10-0 with 3 minutes to go. BC scores to make it 10-7 and then VT makes a huge mistake trying to field the onside kick and the ball went loose even though BC didn't kick it the required 10 yards. They (BC) recovers it and scores to win the game in Blacksburg. BC 14 VT 10

TYPICAL
You would think I'd be used to the Hokies choking by now...
I'm now going to write a letter:
Dear Mr. Beamer,
In the future, can we please play Boston College on any night other than Thursday?
Thank you.
Sincerely,
A-Train

I cant help but to think of those who have BIG money on the game and the roller coaster of emotions they must have been on

Ok my only thought right now is why does everyone want to say that Virginia Tech lost the game instead of maybe giving BC a little credit for coming back and WINNING the game...Matt Ryan just showed the nation why he is a legitimate Heisman Trophy contender on the national stage, in one of the most difficult places to play on the road in the country. How bout givin him a little credit. Yes, VT gave him heck all night long, but he stepped up when it mattered. Its less about VT choking the game away, and to me its more about BC getting the job done when they absolutely had to. So why not give the Eagles a little credit instead of going all woe is VT all aver again

VT's defense was dominant all night except the last couple of minutes of the game. The defense was pretty much worn down and BC capitalized on that. to BC's credit their quarterback was great in clutch situations late in the game.

I think they went to more of a prevent with only 3 rushers, especially on the last drive. The receivers just found a way to get open.

the recivers found a way to get open AND they actually caught the ball....VT's defense played well, but BC didn't help their situation any by dropping passes

I have to say that I did sleep like a baby after that loss. Smoothie, you find it funny that after the game Chris Fowler said the Hokies are still the favorites to win their division?! Check the standings buddy! UVA's in first, and they get the Chokie Hokies in Charlottesville! I'm glad he said it though, just show it to Chris Long & co!

That was a great final 5 minutes to watch. What was with espn continually showing Matt Ryan puke his guts out after the game-winning drive? Not the image I wanted before going to bed.

same reason we're not giving Toledo credit for "winning" their game vs. our Flames.

probably because there are to many tech fans on the board....and people love rubbing it in their faces when they lose....

Knucklehead wrote:He said (NOT KIDDING) "Tech didn't lose that game, Glennon did". I couldn't even speak. I just froze. Isn't Glennon on the Tech team? Didn't he have the best game he's had in eons? Was Glennon on Defense at the end? I am so sick of the Tech band wagon fans around here. Tech junk everywhere stinks. They had 1 run at the national Championship, now everyone thinks they are USC or something.
Yeah, I hate that, too. Except back home, we here that kind of crap from dook basketball fans.
Honestly, you'd have to look at Bud Foster on this one. His defense was killing Ryan & the Eagles for the majority of the game. Then, they drop to the prevent defense (with a 2-possession lead & 3 minutes left). Ryan would have never had the time to run around had VT rushed more than 3 defenders.

Matt Ryan is UNBELIEVABLE - with any other qb BC loses. I almost ticked myself watching him run left and throw on the run 30 yards to the right corner of the endzone where he hits his rb perfectly.
wow hes good
Props to mister aponavicious - from Easton

best part about the game
Since BC wins and will probably go undefeated...WVU cannot make it to the National Championship and the ACC will rein over the Big East where it belongs

that really would not make the acc reign over the Big East. but if that makes you feel superior, keep on daydreaming.
