Fantasy Football question

I am in a yahoo fantasy football group. I have been offered the following trade:

Santonio Holmes WR
Frank Gore RB

for

Plaxico Burress WR

I am currently tied for first place, the guy I'm tied with has 100 more points than I do. My current running backs are Rudi Johnson, Jamal Lewis, and Lendale White. My wideouts other than Plaxico are Derrick Mason, Greg Jennings, Isaac Bruce, and Bobby Engram.

Do I take this trade?

Id see if you can squeeze this guy for some real bigtime player. Im guessing he has some pretty high scoring guns on his roster. Id reject it and put some sort of snappy comment in there and see if you can bait him into offering more to you.

It sounds like you dont have very many people in your league...if it's a keeper league then I'd get Gore...if not then keep Plex...he's putting up top 5 WR numbers

I have Gore on one of my teams...he's helped me...I also traded away Plex on my other team, but that's because I didnt have a true keeper and needed some RB's

BJ what's your team name in that league we're both in?

I did a little more research...leave Gore alone...UNLESS their passing game picks up, b/c he's not going to be getting the points until that happens...I'm not even starting him this week

for starters, how does this make it look like there aren't many in the league....this looks like a 12+ team kind of league...

this trade helps you out immensely at rb which you desperately need.

for starters, how many do you start?

if you start 2 of each your starting lineup now consists of

lewis
white
plax
mason/jennings

your starting lineup afterwards is

white
gore
holmes
mason/jennings

it all depends on whether or not you think plax will keep his career high pace and/or will gore pick it up....me personally i'm buying gore right now....smith is back in there, they have a semi easy schedule ahead as well...

plax i'm buying or selling....i don't think he'll continue at the pace he's going but i don't see that much of a let down.

me i would probably do it....it easier to find a wr to replace plax than it is to find someone to replace rudi (who may be done).....

Bench

Frank Gore, San Francisco (vs. New Orleans): My how the mighty have fallen. It's amazing what a complete lack of a passing game can do to one of the league's best rushers. To make matters worse, Gore suffered an ankle injury last week. Hopefully you've already compensated for Gore's struggles because this won't be the week that he rewards his owners for drafting him so high.

maybe after this week it'll look better for him...I'm interested to see how he does with his ankle...I agree he needs help with his RB but I rather spot start guys from FA than take this trade...now if it was A Peterson (who I also have) I'd take it right away...about the teams...he's in first place with that lineup

if he's in first place he must either be in a 16 team league or he has tom brady

It's a 12 team league. We start 2 qbs, 2 rbs, 3 wrs, 1 te, 1 k, & 1 def.

I have McNabb and Peyton at qb, and Antonio Gates at te. I'm set at both of those positions. This guy who's offering the trade has gore, marshawn lynch and adrian peterson.

I'm kinda torn here. I won't be able to win this league unless Plax stays hot, but I don't know if he will keep up this pace. It all depends on Gore, if he were to pick it up from here on out, I'd be set with the deal. But I don't know, I have to decide by tonight.
