Regardless of who gets #1 or #4, they are destined to meet in the second round. IMO, the Mavs are not built for a seven game series against teams like my Spurs and the Pistons who can operate out of the half court. Assuming the top four out West make it out of the first round, the SAS-DAL and PHX-DEN matchups will be classic.

btw, I finally get a Spurs game on TV tonight. The majority of the time I have to watch the Rockets, whom I hate almost as much as the Mavs!

Both the Mavs & Suns are playoff posers. They don't have the fortitude to reach down deep in a 7-game series.

The Spurs & Pistons are meeting in the Finals and the title returns to the Alamo City this summer in time for Katie to enjoy the parade down the Riverwalk.

geez sly your west of the mississippi smack is getting old brother . we all know there are good teams out west, and certainly the western conference in the NBA is awesome. the spurs in my mind are clearly the best in the west, and though i would love to see spurs/heat, i agree it will most likely be spurs/pistons.

OK, I lived in Charleston for a few years (was sort of like going down into Egypt for the Israelites), so I have a passing knowledge of CofC, Citadel and Charleston Southern. Of course, I could just talk about the Katy Tigers, since they are about the same level.

Seriously though, cross my heart and hope to spit, I will be a good student and get up to speed on LU sports.
