A Sea Of Red

Three FlameFans called a meeting on Wednesday, in my building, just a few feet away from me and I wasn't invited! This is injustice! I caught them just about the time they were getting ready to meet. I told them I didn't get the memo and all they could do was smile sheepishly (SuperJon, Libertine and Scar). So, what was the meeting about guys?? Tell us all!

I want to know which two were "Pinky" and which one was "The Brain" as they plot to take over the world.

Well, SJ definitely wasn't "The Brain," it was probably Scar.

Here's what happened: I get a phone call...

Scar: Hey, have you eaten lunch.
Me: Yea, we just got back from lunch.
Scar: Oh, are you in the FOC?
Me: Yea.
Scar: Ok, I'm coming by.

Then he showed up.

Scar saw the new stuff that they put on the walls, then we sat around talking about you for 20 minutes.

It was a secret meeting Bozlady! We tried to tell you but we didn't want you to get involved. The less you know the better for your own good No really, I was in town for a day, I missed Libertine's posts on flamefans so I had to go see him in person. Ok that is only partially true too. I did get to talk with a few Athletic department folks including Bob Good and my boy Vince Breidis, SID. I got to hang out a little with a some of the hoops coaches, help plan the Alumni game this fall and watch some Summer Football Practice on the new practice field. The defense looked fierce that day, Stevie Ray Lloyd has the most developed quad muscles on a human I have ever seen in person and I actually turned to the guy standing next to me to tell him that not realizing the guy I was talking to was actually his dad I know, I'm an idiot. My only other observation that day football wise is that coach Rocco needs some sun screen. His legs looked like polish sausage out there in that sun. I did break down a little film with Libertine and SJ and talk shop with Manny Rojas who has realized what all of ex college athletes realize and that is 4 years of playing your sport is way, way, way too short of a time.

Can you believe it??? Libertine offered me a peace offering (homemade Oatmeal cookies)!!! What's even worse.....I took the bait!! and well worth it I might add. SuperJon doesn't like Oatmeal cookies.....can you believe that?

No. I cannot. I can't imagine anyone of his stature turning down many kinds of cookies.

No, seriously, there's not much that I like. I was just anti-physical activity for two years and gained a crapload of weight. Plus, the stuff I do like isn't too healthy for you.
