CONCORD, N.C. - About halfway through last season, VMI's players and coaches "drew a line in the sand," Keydets coach Jim Reid said.
Reid, who is entering his second year at the Institute, was a more demanding coach than his predecessor, Cal McCombs. That meant more plays on the practice field, extra conditioning, more reps in the weight room. Not everyone was happy.
