I heard that he's had a heart attack but I haven't been able to find anything online about it yet. Has anybody else heard this? Horrible news.

Reading some of the reactions from other coaches who had just seen him in the last few days really put this into perspective for me. Terrible, awful news. I hope WF goes out of their way to support the family right now.

Got a call from someone that works at Wake about 20-30 minutes before it broke publicly. It sucks, big time. He recruited locally big time and always gave our local products a chance. Not many big-time Division I coaches can say that. Josh Howard was just back in town last week talking about him. Chris Paul always said good things about him as well.

I had the priveledge 11 years ago of eating a post game meal with coach Prosser when he was the head at Xavier. He treated me like I was on his staff. We were exchanging film before we beat the tar out of VCU. I drove to Richmond to get the tape and he not only gave me the tape to help us win but a great steak dinner. He was one of those big time coaches that checked his ego at the door. I hate to hear about guys that die trying to exercise. I was jogging this morning and feeling good. It does make you wonder. 56 is just way too young to die to me. Sad news.

I agree SCAR class act. I had the privledge of enjoying a Hot Dog with him a few years ago at a tournament. He had a great line "This is the longest I have ever talked to an official without questioning their judegement or raising my voice"
Priceless

They are rolling the campus tonight in honor of Prosser. I bet it's going to look nuts tomorrow.

The first ten minutes of the news has been on Coach Prosser, even sending the lead anchor to Bridger Field House. Interviewed Josh Howard at his basketball camp in Winston (where Coach Prosser was supposed to speak tomorrow) and had a statement from Chris Paul, along with Paul's dad.

Skip always signed his e-mails, "See you in the quad." They've announced on the news about the quad being rolled (at midnight). The campus, which usually closes at 10pm except to students, etc is being opened up for anyone that wants to go.

Chris Paul and Justin Gray showed up tonight while they were rolling the quad. They wouldn't let outside visitors in unfortunately.

Toilet paper always looks better at Wake.

I love that tradition... fitting for coach Prosser. He wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I'm a Carolina fan, but I've got a little special place in my heart for that school in Winston and I don't know why.

(Perfect for post 9800)

Sorry for asking

Tough loss to the coaching fraternity and for WF. My thoughts are with the Prosser family and the WF family.
