Cider Jim wrote:Could RD be looking for beach front property???I wouldn't bet on it. If you were an AD, would you hire a coach with 6 wins outside of the conference against teams with a combined record of 23-65 for the 3 D1 schools we beat and the other 3 schools were D2 or NAIA? Wouldn't care if his name was Bubba or Bozo , I'm not interested unless I am looking for early retirement, (probably forced).

PAmedic wrote:http://www.coastalfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33731) No way they get Conroy...I don't see why he would bail after only one year at his alma mater to go to Coastal (it would be a mild pay raise, but it wouldn't be worth the slap in the face it would be to the Citadel nation).
boy, I hope they can do better than a guy who head-coached all of 1 yr at El Cid![]()
evidently a former assistant at CCU, and their AD is stating any new hire WILL retain the current assistants
that situation sounds worse all the time
paradox wrote:Well, it's a tough time of the year to be looking for a head coach. They're probally keeping the former staff together in an effort to keep the team intact. That could be one reason, but the CCU president said they are keeping their staff because they don't want to spend the money to buy them out:
"It is not my intent to buy out any contracts. We are not flush with money," DeCenzo said of the four assistants' already signed contracts. "My talks with any candidate [will include telling him] 'We already have assistant coaches for next year. ... They will be here, whether one of them has been elevated to the position or they're [still] assistants.'http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/sports ... 01664.html
