whats wrong with adding skateboarding??? Its better then about half the dumb sports the Olympics sponsors....

Its essentially snowboarding on wheels. Snowboarding is already an olympic sport. I see know difference. If your going to allow snowboarders to get gold medals, might as well allow skateboarders.

In all honesty its a good business move, if they are going to want to keep the Olympics relevent to todays generation they are going to have to feature sports such as this....you have got to be a TRUE old fart if you think this is a BAD thing.....all you have to do is take a suvey of 16-24 year olds and ask them what they think of the Olympics....I am sure most will be like huh??? but ask them about the X games and that is a completely different story.....

In general, the Olympics took itself out of relevance in recent years by their own greed.

Ha like didn't the olympics drop softball and is adding skateboarding. IF I am not mistaken, no wonder they TV rating is low here in the US

by the way, they shouldn't of dropped softball, I just think its funny that you even hinted softball could draw better then skateboarding in this country.....look at the x games man, and the ratings for that....compared to softball....hmmmmmm

Just trying to point out the olympics will take anything to try and draw a crowd. Next they will be adding debate as an olympics sport

I'm not saying skateboarding takes no talent. I'm just saying I don't think the IOC is the brightest bunch for trying to stay relevant. If the Olympics don't have tradition, they don't have much of anything.
