The agent for suspended Bengals receiver Chris Henry denied a report that his client failed a court-ordered drug test.
"The final result is negative," Marvin Frazier told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "It's all [nonsense]." Frazier also told ESPN.com's John Clayton that the test was negative.
Kenton County (Kentucky) Attorney Garry Edmondson said Monday that Henry tested positive for opiates and he will be forced to serve 88 days in jail. However, Edmondson's office later backed off that statement and said it was awaiting the results of a second test.

It doesn't matter who you're a fan of, you can make fun of the Bengals for this.

This whole Bengals are criminals thing is bunk. Chris Henry is an idiot, I think we can all agree. ESPN has just been hammering on the Bengals as an example and you guys are taking it, hook line and sinker. All of the law breaking has been a problem of every single team in the NFL (except for Henry's gun ordeal). Most of the violations have been DUI/BUI. Somebody point out how operating a vehicle under the influence is strictly a Bengals problem. This is one of those situations where if the media says it enough, that makes it true. Like, I bet you all would tell me that Hines Ward is "the best blocking receiver in the league". This thread gets a big honking

I hate ESPN's reporting more they anything, but though it started out as ESPN blowing this thing up it has turned into something completely different and terrible...the Bengals organization better do something fast because its just getting rediculous...I think its like 9 different players getting arrested...that is not normal....most nfl teams do have one, maybe 2....but NINE!! come on man...
either way its still funny when people from Philly try to call these guys out....PHILLY!!! home of the most classless fans in the country....

I always thought BUI was boating under the influence.
At least that's what it is at Coastal.

My first thought was having something to do with SCAR (IF) he's indulged in a few...
(I hope that does not make me a bad person...I simply equated it with DWB).

It hasn't been 9 players arrested. It's 9 arrests. 3 are Henry alone and 2 are Odell Thurman. 1 arrest was Mathias Askew who was cleared of any wrong doing (was that reported? no yet it still counts as one of the arrests.) And 2 arrests took place while Rucker and Nicholson, who is no longer a Bengal, were in college. It sure is easy to just say 9 players arrested, though, and make them look as bad as possible.

the fact is those few guys have put a black eye on the bengals, but that is the way the world is now, so unfortunately you are going to have to live with it LUconn. i applaud the decision to get rid of nicholson though. and hines ward is the best blocking receiver in the league...he also owns a super bowl ring

I can live with them being the scapegoats. I'm not just gonna sit here quietly when somone brings it up though.

I'm pretty sure that some commentator just said that one day and it's been repeated ever since. Very few receivers can't block a DB. And there are no statistics to back it up. I call shenanigans.
