Details at 11 AM Thursday. Speculation on many of the NASCAR sites is that he's going to start his own cup operation out of JR Motorsports. I'd rather see him go to RCR in the 3 car.

Yep. Word is that Hendrick is going to be supplying him with engines and that he's taking Truex, Bass Pro Shops and Budweiser with him.

Word last week was that DEI and Yates were merging, and evidently Evernham has something going w/ the Canadians

. All this on the heels of the Rousch/Fenway thing. The sport is definitely changing.

Hopefully, ESPN will break in and cover the press conference...so I can watch it from my office.

This was a huge topic last week at Richmond...He will more than likely start his own team and have Truex with him...

I heard he will be using Hendricks engines. My guess is there is enough time passed now and he will take the big step and drive the #3.

He'll probably just turn the 8 upside down.

It's official...he's leaving. Said he'll be driving for a new team...did not mention if it will be for JR Motorsports or for an existing team. This should make for a fun silly season this year.

I don't think it'll be JR Motorsports. He'll keep that as a Busch team for now.

I honestly feel like this is a ploy to put pressure on the evil step-mom to relinquish that 51%...

"first choice is to drive for a competetive Cup team, LAST choice is to start our own Cup team"
also: no plans on Truex ("he is not part of the discussion")
IMHO, it evidently was a very simple problem, and no solution ("we [DEI and Jr] were never close") : Dale Jr wanted 51%, Theresa wanted him to shut up and drive :"my dad obviously wanted me to be a huge part of [DEI]... it became very obvious to my sister and I that [it] was not in the cards"

i would say childress or gibbs. i can't see hendrick because they already have two big time stars and you would have to wonder about egos. heck gibbs could be the same way. im still gonna stick with childress on this one.

Speculation on Jayski is that an announcement that he has signed with RCR could come as soon as today. RCR has a press conference scheduled later today at Darlington, with Jr possibly driving the 33 next season.

Jayski is awesome. It's the Drudge Report for NASCAR.

This is just pure speculation...last night we had Dave Rodman of NASCAR.com on the show and mentioned something about GE racing...Gordon and Earnhardt having a team together...That would be pretty sick...but after talking to a few more people last night RCR looks like a done...It's the best one for him in my opinion but I don't think it would be a good idea for him to get back in the #3....

Latest published news has Childress denying any deal is in place...preferring to give Dale, Jr the time he needs.

Two interesting interviews before the Busch race...with Little E and with Childress. Both guys very non-committal...but is seems to me that it is simply just a matter of time.
