When Clemens walked through the door, Cashman greeted him with a handshake. "Thanks for coming over," he said, "we really need your help."

Next thing you know.... Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish will walk through the door.... :oldhag

Thanks Brian for leaving Dontrelle Willis for the Red Sox in July, we appreciate it.

Beckett and Lowell for Hanley Rameriez and Anabil Sanchez...

Granted losing Hanley was a tough pill to swallow....but I am sure we have some farm hands we can offer to the FLA.

We'll see....

Yes I am looking forward to getting him. 1 mill per outing the Skanks can have him...Clemens is good but this is not the NL so his ERA is not going to be around 2... I am glad to see that we didn't dump 20 mil on him....Go Sox

Do you realize how nice it is to see the Yankees spend all this money, and then still miss the playoffs? When that happens Cashman and Torre will both be shown the door by Steinbrenner. Billy Martin anybody?

Why would the Marlins want Lowell when they got Cabrera? Plus they got plenty of young pitchers, why would they want a blistered/injury prone guy they traded away.....back? That deal makes 0 sense.

From what i am reading i dont see him getting traded till sometime next season:

With three years and 143 days of MLB service time, Willis will be eligible for free agency after the 2009 season. The Marlins, at this stage, have not shown interest in signing their prize left-hander to a multiyear deal. Technically, the club doesn't have to because it is in position to keep signing Willis to one-year contracts two more times after 2007.

If we paid 20 mil for him...you think I would be doing cartwheels....I would be pretty ticked and I like our starting rotation just the way it is...Espically one we get Lester back
