CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Jeffrey Jordan, the son of Michael Jordan, plans to attend Illinois next year and play basketball as a walk-on.

Jordan, a 6-foot-2 guard at Loyola Academy prep school in Wilmette, Ill., said in a news release Friday he chose Illinois over Valparaiso.

Good for him. It would be very tough for him at UNC. He would always be "Michael Jordan's son". Now, his younger brother is suppose to be the real deal. We'll see.

I'm pretty sure he would be known as "Jordan's son" even if we went to go play ball in Cambodia. No use trying to avoid that.
