Maryland's Byrd Stadium to Add Some Luxury

Wednesday, April 25, 2007; Page E02

University of Maryland athletic officials yesterday unveiled details of a plan to add 64 luxury suites to Byrd Stadium, the first and most critical part of a proposed pay-as-you-go expansion project that would add new amenities and eventually raise the building's capacity to nearly 60,000.

it looks nice. it would certainly make that stadium look better instead of that press box on one side, and then a triple deck on the other side.

ever since the maryland fans threw beer bottles at the duke player's parents at a basketball game in MD, i've HATED MD fans.

regardless of who you pull for, that's class-less.

so yea... you'll never hear "nice" in the same sentence as [them] from me.

save it sly :D ......baylor is in a BCS conference and what is their stadium capacity?? im sure their are others in the big 12.

Baylor is a private school that is only in a BCS conference thanks to Ann Richards. Maryland on the other hand doesn't have any excuses.

sly, you are ripping on maryland for having a stadium of less than 60,000 seats when 6 of your beloved big 12 schools are the same way??. are CU, ISU, KU, KSU, Tx Tech and Ok state all private? i doubt it. what is your excuse???? Put your ACC hating in the closet. :wink:

I grew up in Baltimore... I love MD... I'm sorry for so many on the board who have been blinded with their love for Dook and UNC...

If I was from the Congo and had never seen basketball a day in my life, I would still hate Maryland. Love for Duke and UNC has nothing to do with it. :)

though im defending the terps on the stadium stuff, their fans are pretty classless.
