Good job PSU...Radford's tennis team also did something like that, wearing maroon and orange "Radford University" shirts in the first round of the Big South tourney.

LU needs to get some Maroon and Orange shirts.

I wonder how much Nike (Penn St) and all of these other companies are making off of this. Every store in Lynchburg was sold out of VT stuff. Their profits have got to be huge for this month.

And I bet 3/4 of them are going to pocket it and run.

There is no reason to commercialize a tragedy. My sympathy is with Virginia Tech and this was a horrific event that happened but it's getting out of hand. There is no reason for companies to be making money off of this.

I guess they could save face if these places sent the profits from the sales to VT to:

1. Help the families defray the cost of the funerals, and/or

2. Setup scholarships in memoriam, and/or

3. Help fund speakers like the lady who spoke at LU this week to talk to students around the country about this issue.

call me a curmudgeon, but I wasn't impressed with the Penn State thing.

it was a tragedy, but we're up to 126 MURDERS ALREADY THIS YEAR in Philly (110 days) and no one is wearing armbands or tshirts.

sensationalism at it's worst, IMHO

SMOOTHIE made a good point Friday night about the 20,000 killed in the tsunami the other year and no one talks about THAT.

I dont know what stores you looked in, but Medic, GMTM, and myself were in Dicks and they have enough VT gear to dress all of N.O. after Catrina

Was that on Friday morning? Dick's gets new shipments of stuff in every morning, so it's likely they got new stuff on Friday.
