Not a whole lot of people care about the NBA but none-the-less fun to play a little guessing game on who is going to take it all this year.. so, predictions anyone?

EAST:
1 Detroit vs. 8 Magic
2 Cleveland vs. 7 Washington
3 Toronto vs. 6 New Jersey
4 Miami vs. 5 Chicago (Chicago has home court)

WEST
1 Dallas vs. 8 Golden State
2 Phoenix vs. 7 Los Angeles
3 San Antonio vs. 6 Denver
4 Utah vs. 5 Houston

I'm going to go with Phoenix vs. Chicago in the Finals, going with Phoenix in 6.

Biggest upset is going to go to GS taking out Dallas in the first round.

i'm going with Chicago vs Dallas w/ Chicago winning it all...

why?

I would imagine -- because Miami won the division, therefore garunteeing atleast a top-4 seed but they're playing the Bulls who have a better record? I knew that people were complaining about the seeding and I can see why.

Sweet! Another Suns fan on this side of the country. I'd love to see the Suns beat the Bulls 4-2. That would be a sweet reversal from 1993.

Don't tell me that Flagstaff experience turned you into one of those notoriously fair weather Suns fans. Chris, I expected more out of you.

Actually, Sly, I was a Suns fan growing up in the D.C. area, back to the days of Tom Chambers and Dan Majerle and Jeff Hornacek. I never took to the Bullets, because, well, they were awful. I liked the way the Suns played, so I latched on. Getting to cover them for a few years was just a bonus. So no, not a fair-weather fan at all. 8)

Detroit is going to be a tough out if Webber decides to show up. He provides them with 10x the offense B. Wallace ever gave them, at the same time, the Bulls are going to be able to throw 8-9 people out that can really play some defense.

I like the Bulls to pound their way out of the East.

I agree...people always ask me why the heck the suns are my favorite team, and I can honestly say I have no earthly idea, I just know ever since I can remember i've loved the suns...one of my first memories of watching the NBA is watching the Suns vs Bulls finals with my dad.

In my opinion, I dont know how anyone who watches basketball can't be a suns fan now or at least a fan of their style of play. They're by far the most exciting team to watch, I mean as long as you dont count the Spurs :boring

Golden State knocked Dallas out last night and became the first #8 seed to win a seven game NBA playoff series:
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Baron Davis knew his tender hamstring would limit him, so Stephen Jackson took a huge load off Golden State's do-everything star.

Davis and Jackson shot the ragtag Warriors right into the second round, capping perhaps the NBA's biggest playoff upset with yet one more memorable performance on their home floor.

Stephan Jackson is the Mavs killer. First with the Spurs and now with the Warriors.

I'd love to see a Suns/Warriors final. Talk about an offensive clinic.
