Liberty athletics director Jeff Barber and new Flames basketball coach Ritchie McKay spent the better part of two weeks lobbing playful jabs at each other.

When Barber met McKay's wife Julie in Albuquerque several weeks ago, Barber chided that he had "outkicked his coverage."
