Man I wish I could be extremely talented but lazy. That way I could sit on the bench in the NBA for 3 years and make 12 million bucks.

McRoberts is far, far from ready for the NBA....he is in for a rude awakening once he gets to the nba that is for sure...

No chance he was staying. He prob. should have left last year, he would have been a top-6/7 pick -- now, I think he'll go towards the end of the lottery.

I agree.
He was a projected Top-5 pick out of high school. He was a projected lottery pick after last year. Now, he is projected to go to the Sixers as the 20th pick. I see a trend.

As a life-long duke fan (mom and brother are both graduates- so i'm not just some bandwagon jumper) I'm really surprised that K gave mcrob his blessing. During some games, I think he was actually more of a liablity than a weapon. He clearly needed another year or two. Oh well. You can't count on keeping anyone longer than a year these days. Looks like we're headed for another rough season...by duke standards.

Dook will be better next year because of Kyle Singler
McRoberts wasn't a true post player.....Aka Shavlik Randolph is in the NBA....the sixers anyone?

my inside information says that mcroberts was creating problems on the team with his bad attitude, laziness, etc, and that he would be encouraged from K to enter the draft, so i was expecting this move

Singler is a 6'8" SF with great touch outside. That means 6'9" Thomas & 7'1" Zoubek are their only inside force (if Patterson doesn't commit). Throw in SF Taylor King and SG Nolan Smith with returning players Henderson, Scheyer, McClure, Nelson, & Paulus & that team might set an NCAA record for most 3-pointers attempted. Doesn't look good for the dookies.

Don't count on that. We been hearing for the last three years from K himself that they were going to be deeper & run more. It hasn't happened yet.

This is probably my 1,000th post about Singler....but he will be the best player out of the 07 class....Dook will be fine...I hate Dook

That's because he will only go 7 deep at most even with gold sitting on his bench (Marty Pocious)

Agreed. I do have some friend who are big time dook fans. Even now, they have gotten to a point that they are upset with what K is doing. He will not change for anything.

Singler has every chance to be one of the best players in Duke history. He's got some serious game -- unfortauntly, no one to get him the ball, though.

dickens is right...duke will be fine. as for mc roberts, im sure he will be a serviceable pro, and he will make a lot of money to take up some pine.

Personally I think Duke will be better of without McRoberts....one of the most over rated players of all time...if he last longer then 4 years in the NBA I will be shocked....seriously
