If Ken Griffey Jr. is ready to play on Opening Day, he will be in right field.

Cincinnati Reds manager Jerry Narron said Monday he expects to start Ryan Freel in center because Griffey is still working his way back from a broken left hand. The longtime center fielder was injured in the offseason while wrestling with his kids.

Just feels weird to see, "Griffey, RF" on the lineup card.

Sr. played mostly RF with a little bit of 1B mixed in here and there.

It just seems weird that probably THE top CF's of this era is moving from his perch in CF to RF. Something just ain't right about it.

Big George in LF, Cesar in CF and Griff in RF.

Don't even get me started on the greatest baseball team of all time. :D

I love Griff man...I met him when my buddy was playin with the Red's and I figured he'd be a complete jerk...but he was prob one of the nicest guys on the team great to talk to...maybe his kids mellowed him out....I dont know I just hope he has a great year and stays on the field

Just think of what this guy's numbers would have been if he would have been healthy. I don't think I've heard his name and roids in the same sentence. It would have been nice to see someone who was clean challenging for the HR record...but he has to be the hero and break his arm every year. (Don't get me wrong, I love the way he plays center. He just would have benefited from hockey golie pads for much of his career.)
