ND is apparently ok with just missing 3s. WU taking advantage early in the 2nd.

I picked Winthrop in my pool... (I didn't get in in time on the FF pool but my wife has one at her law office that I'm in.)
They are playing inspired basketball.

Great...
...the one year I DON'T pick them...figuring most folks would so I went against the grain.

Winthrop is better than ND. This is not an upset any more than VCU over Duke was. Those were 2 of the easier games to pick for me. Hopefully WU can hang on.

Hold on WU!

Since this game is all but over, how long will it be before Winthrop's coach is taking over a bigger program. I give it six weeks. By the end of April, he will have a new job IMO. If they win a second round game, he won't make it past the middle of April. Beating a first round opponent by 20+ points will get a TON of attention. Winning two games with a team from the Big South, will get you a good promotion to a bigger program. I sure hope my prediction is right!!

hold on? what hold on? They're pulling away.

How did VMI come within 3 points of this team?

in the basketball world he already has a pretty big name...it's just starting to get out to the public by becoming "the east coast Gonzaga" like some articles are calling them

Did you see the Wisconsin score?? Talk about a bracket buster!! It looks REALLY bad early for the Badgers. Down 15 to the #15 seed??

TAMCC has only had a D1 program for 5 years!!!! This year was the first year they were affiliated with their conference and they won it.... CRAZY...

Dont forget they were lucky to win against us on their court! We controlled that game...until when it counted (in the end)

Because so much of college hoops is about scouting and preparation. That is why it is tough to run the table in a conference even when your team might be supremely more talented than other schools. That is how Liberty beat WU last season and how VMI or Coastal takes WU down to the wire in Rock Hill in the last 2 big south championship games. That is what makes me nervous for my championship pick of Georgetown. Although BC is not in the Big East anymore, they are really familiar with Georgetown and can knock them off tomorrow. I certainly hope not.

for the record that chubby coach's hair bothers me as much as Marshall does as a person

ND getting back in it, down by 10. Plenty of time at 7:40 left.

I'm so torn. I'd love for the BS to win, but I've got ND isn the S16. My bracket is more important.

Only a 10 point lead. This will hurt worse than the Tennessee game last year if they end up blowing it. I still would take WU 's team over ND.

This is why I said hold on! ND had another run in them!

Ouch... a 20 point lead whittled down to four!
