Hey guys, I'm not an LU alumn, but I'm a big fan of mid-major basketball. My roommate is on here a lot cause he's an LU alumn. You know him as jack sparrow. I graduated from Samford in 04, and I just wanted to update all of you about the OVC-SoCon shakeup. I have legit inside sources in Samford's A.D. who have told me that the move to the SoCon is not a matter of if, but when. In addition to that info, I thought you might find this column from today's b'ham news quite supports my claim and is pretty interesting.

As a graduate of another southern baptist school that's also home to an average basketball team, I look forward to discussing 1-AA sports with everyone on here, and I'll keep you guys up to date on everything I hear from our side of the spectrum.
P.S.- While they're not a conference rival (yet) , I can tell you that App state is the mid-major I hate the most.

Hoops, LU is in the Big South Conference, not the Southern Conference.

Welcome aboard, Hoops; yes, I did misunderstand: both are fine conferences.

I'm well aware of the fact that liberty is in the big south- I never claimed you were in the Socon, but I figured that this was the best place to post about Non-LU sports....in other words, other conferences. I know that the Socon was previously seeking CCU, so I figured you flame fans had at least a small amount of interest in this topic.
