Winthrop draws and 11 seed to start the NCAA tournament. Is this the highest seed the Big South has ever drawn?

I think they can take Notre Dame.

Winthrop had got to guard those shooters because ND shoots a good percentage from the perimeter.

They might be able to take ND...
...but that's a long way for WEF to travel.

What's the over/under on number of hours before some Winthrop fans claim they got screwed.

ND shoots about 40 percent from the perimeter.

Over/under is 2...takers?

ND has 7 players who shoot 39% or better from the perimeter.

How about an over/under on the time it'll take ATrain to complain about Tech's match-up with Illinois?

Only had to wait five minutes:

I would agree... however, the selection committee always seems to snub us.

After our WINS this year in the tourney, they'll be signing a different tune!

Am I mistaken, or was Marshall actually saying earlier that his team deserved to be a 3?

No, he said a 5 or a 6 I think.

Think about the conference...
...what, #28 or 29? Going higher would have been tough. If the Big South schools would stop playing the cupcake schedules out of conference, then the RPI could rise that way.

Congratulations to WU on the 11th seed, I certainly don't think it was way off of where it should have been. Hope they represent the conference well.

Or if the Big South schools could at least beat the cupcake schools they play..

Exactly.

WEF, I'm not making fun of all of you, just some of the crazies you've picked up over the past week or two.

Or if the Big South schools weren't cupcakes themselves...

Coach Marshall is in the ESPNU studio in Charlotte on ESPN2 braking down the brackets... I really like WU but ND will be tuff going to be a game of alot of 3's

I think 10 or 11 is right where WU belong...they had a heck of a season, but have no notalbe wins...CLOSE games don't count, I'm sorry....and they play in the Big South...no way in the world they deserve anything higher then a 10....11 is a good spot...they have a shot at beating ND...but I can't see them making it to the Sweet 16....I just haven't bought into the hype...if they do make it though I will be the first to admit that I was wrong

With everyone calling them early to be Cinderella, I think they may be doomed. I can't tell you how many broadcasters are calling them.

I think WU is good enough to make the sweet 16 but I don't think they'll get past round 1. ND is a tough draw.

WU will crumble against ND. ND has too many shooters for WU to hang around here.
