LU to host homeschool event

Liberty University will host the 2007 East Coast Homeschool Basketball Championships for the first time on March 14-17. A total of 40 boys and girls varsity and JV homeschool teams from Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina will play more than 100 games in the Vines Center, LaHaye Center and Liberty Christian Academy.

The event is directed by Homeschool SportsNet, Inc, which started the tournament 10 years ago.

Additionally, boys, girls and adults will compete in a 3-point shooting contest scheduled throughout the tournament. Other events include half-court and free-throw shooting contests.
