If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Whose head is bigger? Spurrier or Marshall?

Heck, it's only a logical thread...
...Marshall has been dominant for several years, and Odom just can't get USC going.

Marshall Stinks!!!!!

Next year he won't be nearly as good. His teams have always been 6 deep. He's just been lucky on staying heathly. After last year, why would USC take the risk.

He'll have 3 or 4 seniors starting next season, including the starting point guard (Gaynor), the team's leading scorer (Jenkins), and Taj McCullough, who has been very solid during the conference season. Yes, losing Martin, Bradshaw, and Williams will hurt...and yes, the center position will be very inexperienced, but don't expect a big drop-off next year. And the crop of redshirt freshmen on the team now look promising (though I'm not one to hype up newcomers until they actually see the floor, so who knows what they'll bring).

And lucky on staying healthy? The team's best player missed 7 games at the start of the conference season and Bradshaw, McCullough, and Gaynor have all missed time this year due to injury.

And how many years have we been saying that now? :(

I would say that there may be a slight drop-off especially in out of conference play, it will take some time to find a combo down low, but as for conference play, I wouldn't expect anything less than first again.

Injuries have been especially bad this year, they've had a player out (and key ones) at pretty much every game of the season. Martin still isn't 100%, and Taj has a broken hand, though he's playing.

I don't know if I believe what I wrote, just haven't got a Winthrop fan hot and heavy lately:)

But...I do hate Marshall and his 7 button wal-mart jacket. He just tries to hard in my opionion. He is more about himself than the players. He'll jump the second he feels like he'll lose. How bout getting the guy a water back back to wear during games, he drinks more than a fish.
