thanks for the link FR.

what a J-A.

it amazes me how people can be so hateful toward others re: something that doesn't even impact them.

I'm sure the openminded folks at UTEP are proud proud proud to count him as an alum.

Best e-mail into Mike and Mike this morning:

If you want people to tolerant of this, you have to be tolerant of the intolerant as well.

Tim made a godd point how he didn't want the gay guy i his locker room....

I wouldn't want a gay guy in my locker room because it is unfair....if they infact do not choose to like men, then it is equal to men sharing a locker room with cheerleaders.........

So, I understood his point

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your post. I don't think there would be many (if any) NBA players that would mind sharing the locker room with cheerleaders.

I understand the part that most guys wouldn't want to share the locker with a gay guy though.

I think he meant that the cheerleaders may be the ones that would have a problem with this.

wow. as openminded and accepting as you are- I hope no one in your family or circle of friends is conflicted about their sexuality. I'm sure it would be very reassuring for them to read how supportive you would be :P

somehow I doubt gay men are Sodomites running around looking for the opportunity to assault others who have ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST IN THEM

Since I have family who want to be gay I can comment on it.....they hit on guys pretty bad, even if they aren't interested in them

What I was saying about cheerleaders

A gay guy should not be allowed in the same locker room as NBA players because it is compared to having NBA players share a locker room with cheerleaders

I AM PROUD TO BE HOMOPHOBIC! :D

Tim Hardaway was GREAT in What he said until he said he hated gay people, that's where I draw the line. These people chastising him on tv make me want to throw up.

Its not right to hate gay people any more than it is to hate an adulterer. Homosexuality in case some of you forgot is still a sin. I know people struggle with it, but when people flaunt it like Ameche ( the former NBA player) and then receive praise for their coming out of the closet I just want to vomit.

I still feel sorry for homosexuals and pray they get "straightened out." I'm not going to treat them differently, but they don't belong in the locker room anymore than cheerleaders do. Studies also show, that it is a higher percentage of homosexuals who sexual abuse childern. This lifestyle along with promiscuity in general has caused the rate of STD's to skyrocket.

I also hate seeing the homosexual issue thrown together with the race issue. No special rights for gays.

Sounds like Medic is becoming a little brainwashed.

ESPN and the media are the only ones who care about this entire issue. It's been their number one story for about a week now, fighting it out with the daytona 500 (I wish they would both die), but they're the ones making the issue, shoving it down the throats of millions of SPORTS fans who could really care less about the whole thing. It's so sad the liberalism has taken such a strong hold on not only the media in general, but also the sports media. Sly, I don't know how you can stand to work around these guys.

The reason why ESPN is promoting it so much is because they are the ones who are publishing the book.

Do you guys think that a christian can be gay?

No, a practicing homosexual will not be in heaven. But they can become a Christian. It says in the Bible they won't be heaven. Anyone living a habitual sinful lifestyle without repentence will not be in heaven. See the book of first John.

Medic, the statistic about a higher rate of gays being involved in sex crimes against children is widely circulated. Also, notice the Priesthood doesn't just have a problem with sex crimes against children, they have a homosexual problem. Almost all the priests choose boys to molest.

I will look for a citation for those statistics I was talking about.

Here's a snippet (there's much more) from traditionalvalues.org

For example: In 1987, Dr. Stephen Rubin of Whitman College conducted a ten-state study of sex abuse cases involving school teachers. He studied 199 cases. Of those, 122 male teachers had molested girls, while 14 female teachers had molested boys. He also discovered that 59 homosexual male teachers had molested boys and four female homosexual teachers had molested girls. In other words, 32 percent of those child molestation cases involved homosexuals. Nearly a third of these cases come from only 1-2% of the population.

Dr. Judith Reisman, in her book, Kinsey, Crimes & Consequences, describes the research done by Dr. Gene Abel. This researcher compared the molestation rates of self-confessed homosexual and heterosexual child molesters. In a sample of 153 homosexual molesters, they confessed to a total of 22,981 molestations. This is equivalent to 150 children per molester. Self-admitted heterosexual molesters admitted to 4,435 molestations. This comes to 19.8 victims per molester. Dr. Abel concluded that homosexuals “sexually molest young boys at an incidence that is occurring from five times greater than the molestation of girls.”

Its widely circulated in the Christian church by Christian organizations...its not so much the truth. I do not agree with homosexuality, I think it is a sin, but I think that Christians deal with this issue completely wrong...

Also why can't a practicing gay be a Christian...just last week I told a lie does that mean I'm not a Christian??? Just because you sin doesn't mean you're not a Christian. There is plenty of stuff I do that I know is wrong but justify it to myself...many Christians who are gay do the same thing...they justify it to themselves but they know deep down its wrong....

the point being, you can't say if you engage in this sin you aren't a Christian, only God knows the heart of His people, how about we just treat each other with a little respect, and stop leaning on ultra conservative newspapers with statistics pulled out of their butts to justify hatred which is clearly a sin as well...
