Sean Singletary!

Sean Singletary is the most exciting player in college basketball! He may be the quickest player I've ever seen. He is so explosive, but combines that ability with the flashiness and showmanship of Pete Maravich.
Some of his passes last night against Duke were sick. His ball handling reminds me a lot of Jason Williams in the NBA and after last night need I mention that he comes through in the clutch.
I haven't really been a UVA fan in the past but this year I can't help but root for the CAVS and to a lesser extent VA Tech.

if you like that stuff, then his old teamate will really excite you... expecially at this level.

Yeah, I know about Durant and Oden. I've seen Oden play and he's fantastic, at least defensively speaking. Durant I have not seen play personally but I want to watch him next time he is on tv.

You missed a great one Wednesday night on ESPN2 when Kevin Durant on Bobby Knight's boy in Lubbock.
37 Points & 23 Rebounds.
Chew on that for a minute. And it wasn't just the numbers, but how Durant did it. It was nothing short of electric.

Yea, wish I had watched.

if you want a durant thread, make one, but kel started this about SS, who is the best guard in the ACC, and one of the best in the country. SS has led the hoos all year, and will continue to do so. he is a very exciting player that no one has been able to stop. good guard play is key to a long run in the dance, so we will see what happens. no doubt durant is a stud but sly it is about time you give players in the ACC or the commonwealth for that matter the credit they deserve.

My intent was not to bust on Sean, but correct an overstatement. And clearly the ACC doesn't get anywhere enough attention already.

I love Singletary, although I am a UNC fan....he is the best pg in the country with Dominic James from Marquette, and Aaron Brooks from Oregon.....
Durant, the BEST player in college basketball.....people on ESPN is saying that people are claiming Durant is the best b/c he is a freshman, I think it only helps the argument that he is the best in the land.
Oden, is okay....I expected more from all the hype he was given.....
James Mays from Clemson is also a underrated player in the ACC.....very athletic big man who does just about everything for Clemson

your joking right???? Taurean Green is THE best and then comes Ronald Steele. you named pg's that can score... these guys are real pg's

The NBA has taught us that not all PGs are distributors first & foremost. I think you have to bring the whole package to be the best in the land.
We have a rather good example of that in a fish in Austin named D.J. But I'm nowhere near ready to claims he's the best in America ... yet.

Ronald Steele is so overrated.....Dean looks good b/c of all the talent around him

manger stick to handing out towels , water, and being LU hoops publicist, because rating talent is not your strong point! singletary is better than green or steele because UVA is a two man show...they have very little talent besides the guards. i agree with dickens( did i just say that?) that green is made better by the all-stars on the gators squad, and bama has more talent as well. SS has put the hoos on his back and is a true warrior. without him they are not tied for first in the ACC. i think the gators and bama would not have the drop off if green and steele were gone.

hahaha... that one was kinda low aboyt the water but anyway, i still think that green is the best in the country.

Green doesn't do much for Florida.......It's their frontcourt that is so dominating......

Sean is a Philly Guard and plays like one. They are a dime a dozen in the city. Even Sean will tell you that. He is a product of all that Philly ball plus a lot of hard work and intelligence. A lot of guys have that quickness, some have that toughness and some are clutch (talking about Philly guards) but few have put it together with the efficiency that Sean has right now.

it's funny that you say that..
13.6 ppg (1st on team)
3.8 Assists (1st on team)
1.4 steals (2nd on team)
31.6 Mins (1st on team)
that's pretty good for not doing much. lol

if you haven't noticed he shoots the most on his team, besides Brewer.......still it isn't eye popping stats
He is always open b/c of the rest of the team
He has an easy job compared to everyone else
Also, he pads stats against weak competition

i agree dickens, but manger probably talked to him while the flames were in florida and now that's his "man"

BTW manger should it have been gatorade instead of water???

Being a UVa fan, I have to side with Sean. I know I would rather have him on my team than any other point I have seen play. He has such heart, and embodies all that college basketball is about.

I would just like to take the time to say I called this before the season started. I'll have to find it but I said that he would be NFOY over Oden, depsite all his hype (did you know she shot with his left hand while the right healed? no way!!

) Hopefully I called NPOY too. I doubt I was that bold but it had crossed my mind.

November 13th. I think there might have been a few games played. I said nothing about NPOY. Blast!
