Wow! What a dissapointing game! As a UVa fan, I thought we would win the San Juan Shootout. Now, the best we can do is 5th place.

yeah JC very disappointing, but leitao will have the guys ready to win the last two. this is what they needed. the shooting has not been there, and it will have to improve if the hoos are to make the dance.

if UVA doesn't win tomorrow I would not go to another game at JPJ this year....(If I were a UVA fan)

I was listening to the App St game on the radio and it sounded like that game was over at halftime. Really surprised that Leitao hasn't gotten a better effort out of these guys.

smack from a VT fan  .......as i recall we beat your tail three times last year and until the 2 game skid the hoos have been playing solid while the hokies have been very suspect, but then again when did the hokies EVER do anything in basketball.

Last I checked, we still had one more game of football to play, whereas the Hoos are at home for the BooHoolidays

typical trump card from a tech FOOTBALL fan. come on atrain you are better than that! you guys should really come up with some new material!!!! when you guys actually support a sport other than football come talk to me, until then shut your yap. happy holidays

Good work Smoothie. All these Tech fans always talk smack, but the only smack they can talk is about football. Just wait until January, and they have nothing to talk about except wait 'til August. Hahaha

yeah JC it gets old. tech fan always running their yap. i was at a local establishment for the purdue game when we lost at the buzzer and this tech fan comes by and says we suck, i asked him if he pulled for tech in hoops and he said no he pulls for carolina. he said all we care about is football. that summed in up right there. i rolled my eyes and continued watching hoops.

Fine Smoothie, I promise to back Hokie hoops fully this season. I'll start with the fact that we beat Appy State 69-37. And we won our Big Ten/ACC Challenge game. And isn't West Florida DII? We beat them 95-47. UVA v. the DII Puerto Rico-Mayaguez: 59-52.

I shouldn't even respond to that post Atrain. Are we comparing scores against D-2 teams and App St? We'll see what you're saying halfway through acc play.

dude I am not even a UVA fan...but who the heck cares what bowl you are playing in?? Its not even a BCS bowl...there is nothing really to brag about....its the freaking Peach Bowl...I mean Chic Fil A Bowl....it means nothing anymore with the BCS crap....maybe one day they will have a playoff system and use the Peach Bowl for something that means something, but right now it really means nothing...I hate the bowl system...and all these lower bowls are now even lower because of the BCS....be proud man...be proud

JC-what else do we have to go by right now for this year? I could bring up a certain volleyball match in Blacksburg against UVA-the Hokies won 3-0 (ok, UVA won 3-1 in CVille, but using agreggate scoring or something like that, the Hokies win the series).

Postman-true, this bowl game does mean absolutely nothing in the long run (other than bragging rights-an old roomie is a Georgia fan-and a chance to watch a good ACC/SEC matchup), but then again the initials of Bowl Subdivision aren't BS for nothing.

First off, noone cares about volleyball. Additionally, I said wait 'til midway through ACC play.

Atrain you have shown me what little you know my friend. so now we are comparing women's olympic sports and DII scores? grow up dude. it is hoops season now and until you beat UVA you went 0-3 last year against the hoos, and UVA also leads the commonwealth challenge so screw your stupid aggregate. UVA also leads in the sears directors cup. go have fun at the peach bowl...if you are not in a BCS game no one cares except for the teams playing in that game. it just shows me how you tech fans really are, grasping at straws with womens sports!!
As Virginia's three "revenue" teams continue to stumble, the Cavaliers find themselves atop the Directors' Cup rankings for overall athletic success.

After the completion of six sports, three ACC teams are in the top five -- Virginia, No. 2 Duke and No. 5 Wake Forest.

Football and women's volleyball were not figured into the standings. Only the top 25 teams in the final Associated Press poll receive votes for football and, at 5-7, the Cavaliers will not make the list.

UVa had hoped for an NCAA volleyball invitation after going 23-8 and finishing second in the ACC, but only one ACC team received an NCAA Tournament bid and that went to regular-season champion Duke. There is no ACC Tournament in volleyball.

Virginia was among the top 15 teams in men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and field hockey. The sixth sport to be wrapped up this fall was men's water polo, in which UVa does not compete at the intercollegiate level.

Six ACC teams are in the top 20 and eight are in the top 40 after the second set of Directors' Cup standings. Virginia Tech is in 53rd place and has 63 points, 38 from an 18th-place finish in women's cross country and 25 from an NCAA Tournament appearance in women's soccer.

While the Tech volleyball team finished 17-14, its home victory over Virginia may have hurt the Cavaliers' NCAA chances.

The Hokies, who are ninth among ACC teams, could approach the Directors' Cup top 25 with a victory over Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

BTW, aggregates are in soccer. they split the season series in volleyball!! i cannot believe im even talking about it....that statement is simply a joke brother.

Ok fine, I give up, Tech sucks at just about everything outside of football...happy now?
