This was confirmed by the
Lynchburg News & Advance article. I figured you and the founder of the Old Men's Club would be hosting Dabo in one of LU's skyboxes!

I'm not very familiar with LCA. Is it one of those private schools that recruit?

LCA does not recruit. Parents send their kids there. It's probably best high school for academics in Lynchburg area. The culture at LCA is a lot better than many public schools. LCA doesn't have the discipline problems that public schools have.

There is no way LCA doesn't still recruit.

VHSL rules now apply to them. They recruit like Glass Heritage JF and Brookville do. The core of this football team has apparently been attending LCA since they were youngins in 3rd grade.

They don't recruit.... But the best area players know they will get access to the best coaches, facilities and exposure at LCA... They don't have too. Adam Deyo left NCS to play football in 8th grade. He's a great player. But, yes - a lot of these kids on the team have been at LCA for pretty much their whole life.

As I said, most of the FB team had been there since elementary school.
But I also said they recruit to the same level that other local schools do. Thats just the nature of the beast. Public Schookd try to recruit players all the time. Nothing to be ashamed of

I know of a case where a Campbell County school recruited a player in a way that would make any college coach proud. They started recruiting him in middle school, and he transferred. Case was reported to VHSL and they "looked the other way".
