If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

The CWS hasn't averaged less than 19,000 a game since 2006 and the average has typically been around 22,000+ in recent years. Im not sure why we would want the games to be played in minor league stadiums half the size if they are already averaging a near sell out without local teams propping up attendance. Also they replaced Rosenblatt in 2011.

13000 might not be necessary without a local team in softball but the next best alternative that im aware of is a 4,000 seat stadium which is too small. There just aren't many large softball stadiums around.

I know this is a softball thread, but is the 19,000-22,000+ for baseball or softball? :dontgetit

Those numbers are for baseball. CWS= baseball

Both have been averaging a near sellout in recent years although the softball stadium only recently expanded to 13,000

As for baseball, two week road trips are not uncommon over the years. But that is assuming that you need a MLB park. While Rosenblatt has 23k, you could easily split two brackets between two minor league stadiums (10-15k each) and have the championship series at a MLB ballpark. This is not crazy talk. Omaha does a phenomenal job hosting the CWS. But if you opened it up for bids there could be some better alternatives.
