The final first round matchup pits the SEC champion Florida Gators and the Virginia Tech Hokies. The winner gets teh winner of Michigan and Boise State in Round 2

How did Va. Tech make the field? Didn't Ga Tech win that division of the ACC?

VT was still ranked higher in the BCS.

FL should have also lost to UT--and would have if Fulmer had not gone conservative in the 4th quarter.

Well Florida wins in a romp. Leak throws 5 touchdowns, Tebow runs for 3 and throws for 2 more...Glennon is sacked 14 times and throws 3 interceptions, 2 on which are returned for touchdowns...Florida wins 84-7, handing Virginia Tech its worst loss in the Frank Beamer era
