He was scouting a pitcher, and someone asked him "where was his radar gun". He replied that he didn't need one. He said he judged speed via sound of foul balls. "that last pitch was 85".

Dennis Carter spoke very highly of Coach Hartman on WLNI's Sports Line tonight. The show is on from 5:00-7:00 on 105.9 FM. Dennis also had many kind words for Coach Jeff Meyer, who just retired as an assistant coach at Butler.

In the early years of LU athletics, VT was much more friendly to LU than UVA. VT would come to Lynchburg in baseball and basketball. I think VT even played in the Schilling Center.
