Lang III: Retired NFL player shows class after writer's gaffe leads to social media attacks

This wasn’t the first time Rashad Jennings’ DMs lit up. In addition to his seven seasons as an NFL running back, the Virginia native shook his hips and took home the Season 24 title on "Dancing with the Stars." He also co-hosted an episode of MTV’s “Catfish” with Nev Schulman.

Jennings’ legion of supporters is diverse.

However, last weekend was an odd time for his social media to light up.
