Under the cirumstances that is not at all surprising. The lack of recent body of work and scouting limitations makes this draft a complete crap shoot. You really have to go with the safest bet considering the investment up top.

I noticed they showed video of a lot of the HS pitchers drafted doing a bullpen with high tech trackers getting data on them. The HS position players mostly seemed to come from elite travel teams so whoever drafted them must have felt comfortable with the level of competition they were playing against.
