Enough talk about pointless practices - we made it. Outside of HCHF and Liberty, and all of the storylines that comes with that, what other local, regional, national, etc. are you looking at as this season starts?

Can UVa make that next step in year 4?

I watched first half of Miami vs Florida. Florida doesn't look like a top 10 team. They trail 13-7 at halftime.


As for that team in Charlottesville , I would like to see them go 0-12, but they have the weakest schedule in college football, so they will probably win some games.

UVa acknowledges that VA Tech is a weak team, but we had to schedule them, since we're in the same conference.

Ahh so you're the source. Got it. You should have led with, "in my opinion..." Because according to the SoS rankings I have seen floating around, that statement isn't anywhere close to accurate.

Ummm. His opinion is Definitive Fact by its very nature

Of UVA's 3 non conference games, LU is their toughest. UVA has feasted on Wm & Mary and Richmond for years. This year they subbed ODU for Richmond.

Now granted the boo hoos play that team from South Bend, Indiana, for non conference, but the ACC added that game to their schedule. UVA had no choice in that one.

It would be refreshing if you would admit this is all based on your biases.

Shockingly enough, none of them agree with ballcoach. Everything I have read from sources I respect more than ballcoach's, say Tech's schedule is easier.

Ballcoach hates UVa so much that he won't even attend an LU football game there, but we will go to a UVa softball game!

As for UVA softball, I like the coach.

Speaking of UVA, there are THREE ACC matchups this weekend. Although Clemson will likely rout GT, two big matchups for the VA ACC schools on Saturday.

Reference Hook 'em, I don't care for Texas or Tom Herman. I liked Texas until Mack Brown begged BCS to put Texas into national championship game that year. That's the only way they got in, if my memory is correct.

I'd put the over/under right at 10 wins. My Longhorn loving family wants to believe they are back. But I still have some doubts. Sam can prove a lot of doubters wrong.

ballcoach - You are correct that there should never be any non-SEC schools allowed into the Championship Game. The rest of us are just hanging in the minors. It is pretty audacious of Mack to want to lobby to get in. Then down went Colt. Ugh. Bad memory.

College football is better with Texas strong.
