Kerry was born and raised in Florida. His coach left for A&M and the Hokies are likely in for a rough year, with or without him. Mike Young is solid, but lacks the charisma to be a guy to bring in the talent to rebuild quickly. Kid has his degree from VT, and decided to spend his graduate year closer to home and play for a team that will be a contender in the SEC. Probably 90% of Hokie nation is wishing him well.

Thinking we will be better than the Defending National Champion Cavaliers next year is probably a pipe dream, but we very well could be the second best program in VA. VCU and ODU may have something to say about that though.
