In fairness, I root for Carolina out of the ACC and in the NCAA tournament.

A-B-C fan; except out of conference. In the ACC, I tend to root for Duke and NC State. That is not a typical combination of teams, but I'm friends with one of the asst coaches at State, and have been following the Dukies since the days of Jim Spanarkel. Of course, as a true ACC fan, I root against the Big East.

He's off of mine. No Dook fan can pull for UNC. I don't care what the circumstance is.

i agree. i'm a duke fan, and you just can't pull for unc.

I would pull for the Taliban All-Stars before I'd pull for Dook.

I grew up in Chapel Hill and pull for Duke. There's an identity crisis hidden somewhere in that.

So true. I'd rather bet my house on the Washington Generals than pull for UNC.

Or Clemson, for that matter, but that's an SC thing.

That doesn't make sense. One conference raided the other. Why would the raider hold a grudge against the raided? (ignoring the fact that it hasnt worked as well as planned). Really there's only one explanation, and it's the same reason Providence hates Uconn.

ACC people can hate the Big East bag past the expansion. It's just a conference thing. The Big East has always been the ACC's top rival in basketball.
