In Operation Desert Storm, I was in charge of 75 miles of the Main MSR, during the westward movement of two Army Corps, once the Air War started. I forget how many vehicles traveled this MSR, (it was over 100,000). My mission was "keep convoys moving". They were not to stop for any reason. I think of this MSR, often as I travel Ward's Road, wishing same principles would apply.

I did not retire a SFC. (First Sergeant)
