This deal was about an 8 team playoff. UCF did not make it into a 4 team playoff. If we had 8 team playoff now, I think UCF makes it.
But I read an article that said UCF schedule was as good or better than Wisconsin's . Heck most every school in nation had better schedule than Big 10 schools.

UCF's final ranking was 12th. The only way they would of made it is if there was an automatic big for a G5 school but we all know if it does go to 8 teams the P5 won't be handing anything to the G5 or some new FBS independent school.

That's what we are all saying though.

8 team playoff
5 -P5 Conf Champs
1-G5 representative (more than likely a Conference champ)
2 - true at large.

Forcing a g5 in gives those teams the possibility of a playoff berth from day one that they currently don't have. UCF is just proof that it doesn't matter if you go undefeated, the committee will not vote in a G5.

Additional stipulation, votes should be public. The veiled voting let's voters vote strategically to sway positioning.

I know that is what you all are saying but it just isn't based on reality.

It's cool to dream I suppose.

Conference championships can sometimes be over rated. Take this season, Alabama, Georgia and Auburn are all better than most , if not all conference champions.
