Moglia Out For 2017 Season

The HC of CCU's football team will miss the season for health reasons.

He has a Bronchial Asthmatic Reaction, which is something I have experienced personally and can verify is no fun at all (although I don't remember missing work because of it). Says he plans to be back after the season and coach "several more years", which would put him into his 70s. Jamie Chadwell will be Interum Coach, which certainly raises questions as to whether this situation played a part in the timing of his hire.

Call me cynical, but I think it should be noted that what may very well be a tough season on the field for the Chants now will not blemish his gaudy W-L record. 8)

Bumping this for an update on Coastal's first season in FBS. They are 1-7, with the only win coming in their opener at home against UMass.

Joe Moglia knew this was coming. His medical leave, which will conveniently end when the season is over, was a transparently self-serving move which will result in a lot of losses going on Jamie Chadwell's record rather than his. I don't believe for a minute he has not been running the show behind the scenes.

Coach K invented this move.

I knew that would come up. 8)

IMHO, this is way more blatant. K actually had major back surgery. Combine this move with his history of cupcake schedules and it's pretty obvious what is most important to Moglia.

I felt there season was in question from the beginning.

My concern...our schedule could have a lot of big red "L's" on it as well next year. However, that discussion is going on in another thread!

Unfortunately for CCU, the game was football, not horseshoes or hand grenades. They are now 1-8. If they somehow think they are hot poo for playing the Razorbacks tough, Troy will straighten them out in a hurry next week. Ask LSU.
