Accountability. Their program slipped. Their O was stagnant. Their coach refused to make the changes.
Still, put him on a lot of programs' short lists for next season. It was time for a change at LSU. Doesnt make him a bad guy or bad coach. The program just wasnt going in a good direction. Sound familiar?
Great guy and fine church and family man. I wish him the best.

Unfortunately the game has passed him by. It happens to most coaches eventually.

Mark Stoops needs to fire DJ Elliot, since Stoops has taken over the defense from him, and get Les Miles on as DC.

Miles was "offensively challenged" in that he could not or would not develop a good passing attack. Running ball is the downfall of most teams that do not win enough. Spread the field and throw the ball down the field. Do this and running lanes will open up, thus giving you a balanced offense.

The most interesting part of this is timing...watch Brian Kelly closely.

Maybe we can get Rich Rodriguez from Arizona when he gets fired. Just have to keep him away from the cheerleaders.

Maybe the second greatest coach in the history of WVU (which isn't saying much). I'd rank him just under Bobby Bowden, who was so kind in Marshall in 1971 before he got a real coaching job at Florida State.
Purple, is RichRod DEAD to you now?

Don Nehlen was a pretty good coach. I don't know who this guy is you are talking about

Nehlen was the man. I loved me some Bill Stewart, perfect example of not knowing what you have until it's gone. Bowden got run out of Morgantown - oy! I'd even take Frank Cignetti over He Who Shall Not Be Named. I know Purple feels me.

I think we should pluck Doc from the Junior College in Huntington
There's going to be a lot of good coaches on the market this year. I'm not fooled by this early start.

Doc burned a lot of bridges - not only on his way out, but since he's been down there. I'd be surprised if he ever gets a chance in Morgantown. I like him, though.
