Book that exposes it is co-written by a Pulitzer Prize winning writer. Allegedly there are hundreds of text messages, pictures, and journals supporting all the claims.

I'd love to see Loueyville get slammed by NCAA.

Glad they didn't have the internet back in the early 70's when I was recruited to LU.

I love that Shuk is the first to start this thread. Of course he was a saint when he was running things in Lexington. HaHa

Soon as I saw the title I figured one of our resident trolls probably started it

Why do you have to be a jerk and call people names all the time? The dude has stuck around long enough for us to know he's more than a troll.

He's admitted he's a troll, yes. No need to keep pointing the finger at him.
That said, didn't Tennessee football do the same thing not long ago?

I don´t know about UTK, but Colorado did.

Didn't Miami football too? It's kind of hard to keep track of all the illegal stuff they have done.

I don't know if they enlisted prostitutes, but Kiffin had less than prude girls help out with recruiting.

That was how Baylor recruited for decades. Read H.G. Bissinger's original version of Friday Night Lights.

I'm pretty sure that Baylor is doing the same thing right now.

I hope no one is surprised by this story. Recruiting trips at the big schools are usually weekends full of all sorts of activities. When we recruited some players that ended up at bigger schools or took trips to bigger schools I know I was asked about money, girls, gifts etc. and had to explain that we don't do that here at Liberty. Blue-Chippers expect this level of treatment. Ray Allen in He Got Game showed us this

When I was at the Final 4 the year Louisville won it all, I was down on the floor for practice the day before and I saw McGee out there too watching all the teams practice. He didn't have his Louisville clothes on but I still recognized him and was trying to place him. When Louisville came out for shoot around he came out with the team and it hit me. He was out there scouting the other teams. Not that you get a lot from those public shoot-arounds but it did stick out that he doesn't honor boundaries. Members of the other teams usually don't do that.

There are certain schools that are dirty and unethical. Couple in Kentucky, one in Tennessee, and a few others.

What's most surprising to me was how brazen they were with it, I mean allegedly were with it. Walking in hookers through the front doors of the dorms, posting pictures online, wire transfers that leave a paper trail, and not using burner phones? It's as if the guy thought this was all completely above water.
But seriously, they couldn't find slutty coeds on campus to do this stuff for free like I assume many schools do? And only one of the recruits named in the book (and the madam supposedly mentioned every recruit that benefitted) ended up going to Louisville? If I were McGee I would have been asking for some refunds!

I don't even think that's legal. I was working a regular basketball tournament one time, not affiliated with any of the teams involved, and I got booted by security from the gym and all I was doing was setting up stuff on the scorers table and press row.

Most all dirty schools have someone doing their dirty work, mostly behind the scenes, but not always.
The first time I ever seen someone using a cell phone was a "street agent" for Tennessee.

Well things could really heat up with this now, former Louisville commit JaQuan Lyle has confirmed the gist of the allegations to the NCAA, according to CBS Sports.
Ohio State freshman JaQuan Lyle spoke with an NCAA investigator this week about his recruiting visit to Louisville in June 2013 and confirmed the gist of allegations involving paid escorts during his trip to the school, a source with knowledge of the NCAA's investigation told CBS Sports on Thursday morning.

And the IBJ, the publisher of the book, hired a forensics investigators to confirm that all the text messages were from McGee's cell phone #.
