Well there is one thing I can tell.....and being a Duke fan....it pains me to say it.....Duke will NOT be the National Champions this year....too young and not enough players.

yes, I am a UNC fan...I go to about 6 games a year and it is unbelievable. I plan to go there for law school, and I am so excited about this upcoming season.. Heels will take it all.

danny green was a friend of mine in highschool, so im gonna go with his team. they are very well coached and made a good run last year with a young team. hansborogh is amasing and the freshmen that they have are beast! they have it this year but watch out for brew, teejay, mclean, and smith next year though

this such a pet peeve, but his name is hansbrough...pronounced hans-bro, not hans-borough. billy packer is notorious for this, just like he prnounced riddick insetaed of redick. sorry, just a rant!

I know Packer is bad at that. The best games however are when Vitale and Packer are togther, because they hate each other.

I'm with LUconn on this one. I don't think any of these squads are strong enough to merit coronation before the season. Who had the Gators this time last year?

Carolina has so much coming back. Granted, so does Florida, but I suspect those guys will be working to improve their NBA lot and not team basketball. Coach Roy will be coaching them up in Chapel Hill as he continues to restore the good ole days of Carolina dominance.

Carolina is 13 deep and not strong enough? Wow, anti-ACC a bit?
I'm not picking a team to win because that tournament is so crazy, but UNC has got to be the favorite.

I think Florida has a legit chance at winning back to back, but their road to the championship was not too difficult. I mean the best team they played was Nova, and they played a worn out George Mason team and a beat up UCLA team (they had a touch road to the championship)....But, UNC has so much talent, and such a good coach it is hard to pass them by.

the favorite??? Florida lost 1 guy! I don't even know if he started. I personally don't think they were that great of a champion but how can you not make them the favorites?

i don't think unc will win. granted i'm a duke fan, but they have such high expectations this year that all they can do is fail! they have a great team, and will do well, but i just don't think they will win it all.
on a side note, i don't think florida will either, and obviously duke won't.
i don't have a prediction on who will win

JDUB, you sound like your from North Carolina so I will give you some credit since it is the best basketball state in the country; hoever predictions are a must on this post. With that i mind, I still pick UNC because.....too many reasons, freshman talent, returning talent, coaching, and the expectations.
