Seriously, I'm so glad I hung with the Cubs over the past few years (not that there was ever a chance that I would renounce my fanmanship). Seeing all of the young talent on display this spring gets me so excited about baseball...and warm weather.

Also, what should Theo do about Kris Bryant? Should he send his best player to Iowa for 9 games to gain a year of control over him in 2021?

You absolutely have to send him to AAA for 12 days. He's a Boras client which almost guarantees that he'll hit the free agent market when his deal is up instead of signing a long-term extension. An extra year of control over a player of his caliber is definitely worth the impact of losing him for 9 games. Boras and the fans may not like it, but that's the way it has to be under the current service time rules.

Oh, and Wrigley is in bad shape and looks to remain that way well into the season.

It happens every year but when the player is obviously having the best preseason of anybody in the league? It's going to haunt the Cubs.

Madden really didn't hold back with Byrant's first game today...threw him right in the 4 hole.

His first game was a flop, but since then the guy's been on base at a ridiculous clip... Like, over .700... against the Padres staff and then Burnett.
Between him and Soler, I'm not sure who has the better chance of winning Rookie of the Year.

This just in...the Cubs have moved Addison Russell to 2nd base in Iowa and could call him up in the next few days. New infield goes like this: Bryant (3rd), Castro (SS), Russell (2nd), Rizzo (1st). Okie dokie.
