My guess - and this is just a guess - is we haven't announced it yet because the Big South is trying to decide what they're going to do and we're at least appearing to respect the league. We're gonna do it though. There's no way we don't.

That's correct, and why I'm holding off on writing something definitive about the issue until things are hashed out at the spring meetings. I did touch on it briefly on Twitter last night.

I think the Big South will approve full COA in select sports and give the rest of the conference schools the choice to pay full COA in other sports as they please. That will certainly create a competitive imbalance, because there's no way that Liberty won't go all in, not with the financial advantage it has. If I'm Presbyterian or Charleston Southern, I'm ticked, but what can you do? You can't tell Liberty or Coastal that they can't pay out if they have the wherewithal to do so.

... because that would put your conference mates at a competitive disadvantage in their recruiting backyards.

Do schools like CSU & Presby have the resources to do this in any sport?

From what I'm hearing, they won't have any choice in at least two sports. Will be a league mandate.
