American golf star Dustin Johnson has reportedly flunked a third drug test leading to 6-month ban.
Dustin Johnson has been slapped with a six-month ban from the PGA Tour after a positive test for cocaine, Golf.com reported Friday afternoon.
The report, citing sources, said that Johnson has failed three drug tests, including two for cocaine (2012 and 2014). The other failed test was for marijuana in 2009. The PGA Tour is not required to announce punishment against players who test positive for recreational drugs.
The 30-year-old Tour player announced Thursday in a statement that he was taking an immediate leave of absence from the sport and gave no indication of how long he would stay away, or where he was headed, though his agent confirmed he would not be at the PGA Championship next week or the Ryder Cup next month.

This has been one of the worst kept secrets in a long time. He is an immature, stubborn moron. For his sake, I hope he takes rehab etc serious, or he'll endup face down in a gutter.

Gonna have to break off his engagement for any hope of getting sober unfortunately.

What I find baffling is that he was able to perform so well in recent years despite drowning in this craziness. How good could he be sober and not ruining marriages all around him?

Jon's right. Have to wonder what kind of relationship dynamic has been at work thus far with all this trouble

Beej, he's engaged to a hot party girl. That means she spends a lot of time high and horny. The relationship dynamic is likely one of drugs and sex because they're both good looking, addicted, and wealthy. It's two people enabling each other.

Maybe that was what was making him so good. Look at Tiger. He hasn't been the same since The Escalade Incident. Sure he's had injuries, but this is a guy who won a Major after breaking a leg a tearing his ACL. That type of life makes you feel invincible and highly creative. I mean look at any band from the 70's who sobered up. Their music was much better when they were on drugs!
