I wanted to go ahead and post this for you all to see. As far as I know, this is the only real public comment on Liberty out of an SBC AD other than the basic,...yeah we talked. Goes into detail about what his meeting with Falwell JR was about

"Liberty is not a rumor. Jerry Falwell Jr and his Son did fly to Jonesboro and meet with Dr. Hudson and myself. Liberty is a little more than people think. Their budget is about 40 million." "They make 214 million per year in Online classes" "I like their vision, I like what they do. My concern is whether they can recruit with their honor code, and I mentioned that to them "But the conference CEO's voted not to bring them in at this time, but things can change in a year...and I am fine with that. They have offered to make a financial contribution to the SBC if they get in"

No that's a dark place we should never go back to...ever(At least until we get closer to the cycle starting all over again)

By the time we get invited to the FBS there will be the big superconference of the 5 larger FBS conferece today(SEC,BIG10,ACC, BIG12 and PAC12). We will still be in a smaller division.

I'd rather be in the 2nd Division than the 3rd.

Check the passenger list on the flight to Jonesboro

My guess is he accompanied JR on the trip. Im guessing he is introducing him to that sort of thing in anticipation of him taking the reins of the university eventually (Kinda like how Jerry Sr. did for him before he became counsel for the university)
