I don't know if he pulls the trigger on that one, if not for the way our schedule is currently constituted, for the reason that the philosophy in scheduling FBS opponents is to put us in situations where we can be competitive and possibly win. If we made the trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium, we would get slaughtered. I don't say that often about us, but in this case, it would be very true.

Yeah... If other schools from the SEC have a hard time beating them we would be run off the field after the first quarter against the Tide.

Aren't we playing Baylor and WVU and VT

So much for the philosophy you subscribe to.
We play FBS schools for the $$$$$ first, notoriety second, winning third

Chances are SEC is going to put in a rule prohibiting scheduling FCS schools

WVU would be a more competitive game than it was in 2009 (and that still was only a 13 point margin at the end of the game) I would think. Baylor we could be getting scraped off the turf when that one is over but that depends on what they look like come 2016. VT I think was set before we made that change in philosophy.

When did said philosophy change take place?
WVU can score in bunches. They were in transition the year we played em. Now if it was Marshall that'd be an easy win.

I'm pretty sure WVU-Liberty would be a pretty competitive game these days. I say that as a WVU fan

(after Liberty)

Hater! The mountaineers would ring up 90 pts. And probably allow 75
