I live in Texas so the answer was obvious to me. But really there are only two viable answers and no one pays enough attention to the NHL for the Pens to be a real option.

The Pens hate is a little more prominent in the Mid-Atlantic with so many teams in such close proximity, 7 out of the 8 teams in their division are between DC and NYC, and they all HATE each other. So that might be an East Coast rivalry not a national hate fest

Historically it has to be the Yankees. Come on, they have the title of a Broadway Musical cursing them. Right now I say the Heat. A lot of it is carryover from "the decision" and subsequent events, and it's played out some, but still a lot of haters out there.

If this were 20 years ago, it would be the Yankees & Cowboys hands down. I agree that the Heat are a legitimate option today. But their fans are nowhere near as obnoxious as the other two I mentioned.

Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Mass., New Hampshire, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Ohio, Washington, Oregon and surprisingly enough California. I know hockey is a regional game but I wanted to see how the team I hate the most stacked up against the more traditional targets of pure hatred.

As a Cowboys fan I almost voted for them. They are my team but I have grown to feel great disdain for JJ. Love the Penguins. Of this list I feel equally hatred for the Heat and the Yankees. Out of tradition I voted Yankees. (Jake - the Ravens should be on this list as well! )

Not if you live in the birthplace of my dearly departed grandmother from Kansas.

I was a fan of the Bengals & Cowboys in the '70 & '80s (Stars & Stripes Forever ... well at least until Jerry Jones ruined everything) since they never played each other and were on back-to-back most Sundays. After Jerr-uh ran Tom Landry out on a rail and then I had to spend 7 seasons covering them I grew to despise everything about them. Now my two favorite teams are the Texans and whoever has the pleasure of beating up on the 'Boys each Sunday.

I think the more interesting question would be who is the most hated team in college football and most hated in college basketball.

I voted Yankees. But I can live with Cowboys, too. Hard choice for me, as I hate them both.

College basketball: Kentucky

College football: Alabama

It's always the dominant ones that have their rebid can base, but also attract haters from the most directions.

Basketball is pretty much a 2-team race. Kentucky is making a run at Duke, but I still give the edge to the Blue Devils.

I'm a Heat fan..but yeah, there's not many of us (not including the Lebron fans that have converted in the last few years).
