Heard some pretty cool news the other day which will change the way we watch Liberty Athletics in the future. ESPN3 is going to an all integrated viewing experience on television. Instead of going online and choosing what game you want to see, apparently you are going to be able to go to the channel on your tv and choose the game you want to watch. I do not know how this is going to work but it is supposedly coming this year at some point. Pretty cool stuff. Remember, you heard it here first :!:

What he said. I may use it twice a year during college basketball season now.

I have been able to watch virtually every Football game and many women's/men's basketball games, along with last years Baseball playoff run on ESPN3. With the click from my Xbox 360, I get all the Liberty content that is broadcast through them. Of course, once in a while I have to hop on the old laptop to watch but it sure is nice watching it in HD through the Xbox 360. Exspecially for those of us from way outside any Liberty broadcast footprint.

In fact, I actually changed my internet provider last July, simply because they did not reach an agreement with ESPN and I wouldn't have been able to watch anything!

yes we've already established that. outside of LU the programing is worthless compared to what it was in the past.

+5000

(with apologies to you because I know you don't want me to agree with you).

But it was no doubt the pressure from the cable companies that made them change what type of broadcasts were aired. For people who have a job, why even have TV if your favorite team (say in the Big 12) was always shown on ESPN or Big 12 Network (on ESPN3)? That's exactly what they knew, and made them change it.

what erks the crap out of me, is that i get that. i don't care if all you show me is fringe stuff. however, make it available to me outside of my computer. there is no espn3 app. not for my phone, not for my apple tv, not for my roku. i have the old espn3 app on my xbox. it wants me to upgrade but i won't let it.

if i could have access to espn3 content on the watch espn app, fine, but it won't let me. the only people who can use it are the subscribers to the 5 cable subscribers that are eligible. not the hundreds of cable companies that pay for espn3 access.

If your internet is through a cable company, theoretically your login for the company's website should work for watchespn, at least it does for me when I use my parents comcast internet login.

thats because comcast is one of the affiliates that can carry watchespn. my cable internet is through mediacom which is only on the espn3 list.
